About this piece: Cape Cod based pianist and composer Mike Garvan grew up in South Florida where he was influenced by music on late night radio broadcasts from the island of Cuba. As a member of the Mike Garvan Group I took part in the 2008 recording of his CD entitled "Havana Nights" which features several of Mike's original compositions. A couple videos from our Cotuit Center for the Arts concert are below. I wrote El Bolero De Miguel as a 2018 birthday present for Mike.
