About this piece: This piece was written for my great-niece Emily (Abbott) Merriam when she was in her teens. I decided to set it for two of the instruments that Emily plays, flute and piano. Emily now is an accomplished musician and teacher living with her family in North Carolina and operating her own studio, New Song Music.
